Devil’s Pool is a World Beer Cup award-winning Imperial IPA brewed at Wissahickon Brewing Company. Its name pays homage to the renowned but perilous swimming hole nestled in Wissahickon Valley. During the brainstorming phase for the beer's label design, a memory surfaced: a friend of mine was once bitten by a harmless water snake while swimming in the pool. Little did this aquatic creature realize, it would later become the iconic inspiration behind the brewery's best-selling beer. Animation by Ryan Putnam
In 2023, I had the privilege of designing a limited edition can for Guinness and Notre Dame Football while working at Quaker City Mercantile in Philadelphia.
Under the art direction of Christian Stewart, we tackled the task of capturing both brands on an 8-Pack Carrier and 16oz Can. Our approach involved an abstract fusion of ND Irish Green surging into Guinness Black, reminiscent of a freshly poured nitro pint. Available in stores everywhere.

Quite possibly the next best word after 'zigzag,' 'wigwam' is fun to say and even more fun to drink! I wanted to create a playful design to match its phonetically whimsical name. I started pulling and stretching the letter forms apart, and before I knew it, Wigwam's label was skipping and dancing. Cheers to another top-seller at Wissahickon Brewing Company. Fruit and beer collide (quite literally) in this fruited sour series by Wissahickon Brewing Company. We wanted the label design to be loud and bold, just like the punchy, fruit-forward flavors that fill each can. The result; a stark, echoing pattern of contrasting colors that shouts at you while sitting on the shelf at your local beer distributor.
Brand & Label Design for Wissahickon Brewing Company’s Crumble Oreo Porter. This Label features spot-metallic show-throughs and black speckles to drive home the crushed cookie concept. Complete with neck label highlighting time spent aging in bourbon barrels. And yes, Carolyn Barton, Luke Gill, and I all had a blast during this photoshoot.
Quelle is a creekside ramble, a midday nap, and an easy goin’ Hefeweizen by Wissahickon Brewing Company. I tasted this beer and wanted to capture that feeling of late summer. I played with outdoorsy greens and yellows to drive home the ‘lazin’ on a sunny afternoon’ vibe.
Full disclosure: I'm not just a designer—I'm also a musician involved in a couple of bands, a host of house party ragers, and you might catch me crowd surfing at an Osees concert once a year. Music isn't just a hobby for us; it's our passion, and occasionally, it's even my job. Here’s a handful of gig posters that I’ve worked on over the years.
I consider myself incredibly fortunate to reside in a vibrant city like Philadelphia. Whether it's a weekend or a weekday, there's always a live show to catch—at a concert hall, a crusty punk rock club, or even in your neighbor’s basement. Here are a few more posters i’ve made for various gigs and events.
When Wissahickon Brewing Co asked me to create a sub-brand for their new house-made hard ciders, we explored various naming options at the tap room. The initial beta-names were okay but lacked depth.
During one brainstorming session, my friend Thomas struggled to recall a specific word. After some effort, he blurted out, "What are those little houses in gardens or near lakes? Not Pagoda, but..." It clicked for both of us—“Gazebo!” His struggle to find the word perfectly captured the project's essence. A Gazebo embodies the ideal setting to savor a hard cider, whether in a garden, by water, or in your grandfather's backyard.
Each label features unique outdoor themes like camping, picnics, and BBQs down the shore—perfect places to enjoy a Gazebo Hard Cider.… Where’s your Gazebo?
A decadent porter conditioned on cherries, cacao, and vanilla beans, then barrel aged in Wild Turkey Whiskey barrels? Uh…Yeah! That’s what Wissahickon Brewing Company bottled up just in time for Valentine’s Day a few years back. Here’s my bottle design complete with a boudoir inspired photo shoot. Beer is sexy.
I can't imagine a more timeless method to enhance a boutique brand than through a captivating mascot. Allow me to introduce two of my favorite character creations: Zipster, the daring dirt bike delivery guy from East Falls Beverage, and Charlotte B. Crunch, the boisterous and eccentric hen representing Crunchik'n Korean Fried Chicken.
My passion as a designer lies in branding and conceptualizing logo marks. To me, a logo is just the beginning—a jumping-off point that represents the tip of the iceberg in the world of branding. The entire identity flows from there. Here are a few recent examples I've created.
